B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from School of Engineering & Technology, Sandip University, is committed to bring a systematic change in the field of research & innovative capabilities. Department of Electrical Engineering is well equipped with the state of art equipments and Laboratories. Conducive environment exists in the department for both staff and students. Department is bound to impart knowledge in electrical engineering to develop professionals and leaders to meet the global challenges and to be socially responsible. For Encouragement of research and personal development of student, IEEE (USA) student chapter is established and coordinated by Prof. K. C. Muley.

Department is headed by Prof (Dr.) P. M. Sonwane with his research and academic experience of 19 years. The Department has qualified, devoted team of teaching members. The various faculties & students of the department have presented/ published papers in National/International conferences & journals. Industrial expert/guest lecturer/workshop, technical tours/industrial visits, Soft Skill workshop, Foreign Languages such as German, French & Spanish are organized for all round development of the students. The academic results at various university examinations are excellent. Many multinational companies have signed MoUs with Sandip University for smooth conduction of multi-disciplinary courses, such as minor in Solar Engineering and placement of students. Department of Electrical Engineering offers undergraduate program B.Tech, Post Graduate Program M.Tech with specialization in Power systems and Ph.D. program.

Department of Electrical Engineering offers testing, consultancy and training services in the area of electrical design, condition monitoring and energy management. To accelerate R & D activities department has initiated Industry Institute Interaction cell. Most of the Industries are interested in Sandip University with hands together for live research activities. Three faculties are pursuing Ph.D. Programme in various areas in Electrical Engineering. Department aims to establish center of excellence in Texas Instruments, Spoken tutorial and Fossee Laboratory in association with IIT Bombay.

Eligibility 1) A pass in the 10+2 examination (Pre-University Board Examination) with physics, chemistry and Mathematics, that are recognized by any State Board / Central Board (with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks).
2) The student should have the fundamental knowledge in computers and programming. Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical Vocational. Choose any one from optional subject and secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of Backward Class candidates)

Direct Admission to Second Year of Engineering

Candidate must have passed three year Diploma course (Post-SSC or Post-HSC) in Engineering from MSBTE, Mumbai or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
Duration 4 years

1st Year Fee : Rs 45000 per annum

Hostel Fee Rs. 65000 per annum + 5000 security deposit.
